State Inspection

All registered Texas vehicles are required to undergo an annual automobile inspection. This state inspection includes a comprehensive safety inspection. For most vehicles emission test is performed as part of the Texas state inspection. Diesel powered vehicles and motorcycles are exempt from the emission testing, but are still required to receive the annual safety inspection.
